COMMUNITY EVENT
THE POWER OF STRONG COMMUNITIES
Stand Tall Against Negativity and Destruction is a free community event where children and families from the community are invited to attend. This community event will host an array of services and activities with plenty of back-to-school give-a-ways, a resource fair, health screenings and health care information on health related topics.
This event will provide free entertainment for the children, such as a bouncy house and a big blowup slide, along with face painting.
The purpose of this event is to bring the community together to make a powerful and purposeful stand against negative and destructive activities in their neighborhoods.
Community, Let’s Take A Stand Against:
- Crime
- Bullying
- Violence
- Domestic Violence
- Sexual abuse
- Illegal drug use and selling
- Dropping out of school and truancy
This community event will also include:
- Free Haircuts
- Free vision and hearing screenings
- Child Identification Program (CHIP) will offer a peace of mind to parents knowing that should anything ever happen to their child, they will have an I.D. with the vital information to distribute to authorities.
- Fire Department and ambulance vehicles will be on site for children to tour. The Emergency Medical Service will provide blood pressure checks and offer first aid.
Last, but most certainly not least, parents can receive a FREE backpack for their student. We are giving away over 500 backpacks along with school supplies. There will also be vendors from across from the community. Parents and vendors may register by visiting our website.
