  4. Prepare students for college

  6. Complete scholarship applications
  7. Enhance employability and career skills

Community Event

  1. One event per month in apartment complexes and neighborhood community centers.
  2. Community providers will educate the community about their services.
  3. Employment Fair where employers interview and hire people on the spot from the community.
  4. Free backpacks and school supplies giveaways.
  5. Live Demonstrations from the fire department.
  6. Law enforcement agencies provide information about keeping the community safe.
  7. Motivational speakers to empower the community to stand tall against any violent, illegal, and negative influences and activities in their community.
  8. Heath care providers will provide free blood pressure checks, cholesterol checks, and blood sugar checks.
  9. Bounce houses for children to play in a safe environment.
  10. Free food!

Youth Leadership Service Projects Event

  1. Recruit and train students to serve as community leaders.
  2. Host two service projects where students will beautify their community
  3. Pick up trash
  4. Plant flowers
  5. Student leaders will assist at all of the community events where they will challenge their peers to sign a no bullying and no violence agreement.
  6. Service projects where students will assist the elderly.

Male Leadership Program – Young Men of VALOR (Vivacious Aspiring Leaders Opstimistic and Responsible) Leadership Program

  1. A mentorship program for male students in grade 4th.
  2. The program seeks to increase educational and leadership opportunities
  3. Develop male students with an understanding of their social responsibility
  4. Improve their social influences, provide them with academic support, enhance their respectful and responsible behavior, strengthen their peer relationships, and enhance their influences in the community
  5. Provides male students in 4th grade with a strong a male support system from 4th through 12th gradeĀ  with academic, social, and emotional support where they can have a practical impact in their home, school campus, and local communities.
